OFFICE ERGONOMICS:

This program applies to employers and employees working in an office or administrative type setting. It will provide basic information needed to recognise and report signs, symptoms, and risk factors associated with Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD’s).

FATIGUE AWARENESS AND MANAGEMENT:

This course provides an introduction to fatigue management. It addresses general information for employers, employees and contains individual factors that contribute to fatigue. We address what fatigue is, who is responsible for managing and individual factors that influence sleep quality.

 

FIRE SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE:

The purpose of Fire Safety is to ensure that viewers are knowledgeable in fire awareness, fire safety and emergency response in the workplace. The objectives of this course are to identify fires in the workplace, and understanding the correct procedures when responding to the fire.

 

SAFE OPERATION OF A FORKLIFT:

The course allows learners to identify risks, features, maintenance, load limits, safe driving and shutdown procedures of a forklift. This course will help put theory into practice in work place settings.

 

 

MANUAL HANDLING:

Topics covered in this program include what is manual handling, risks and consequences of poor manual handling, assessing the risks, applying proper lifting techniques and putting techniques into practice.

 

PREVENTING SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS:

This purpose of this course is to remind workers of the hazards and risks associated with slips trips and falls and give them some strategies for prevention. This course will help learners to identify and eliminate slip, trip and fall hazards, prevent falls at work, outdoors and at home and minimise injuries if they do fall.


 

 

SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS:

This program provides generic instructions and processes for using a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). You must have completed a Nationally Accredited Operate Breathing Apparatus course before attempting this refresher. This program aims to help learners identify, check and maintain SCBA components.

 

ANTI-BULLYING AND HARASSMENT:

This course helps to identify bullying and harassment in the workplace. It covers the do’s and don’ts of what is considered acceptable behaviour, as well as workplace bullying, discrimination, promotion of equal employment opportunity and what to do if bullying or harassment is witnessed.

 

 

ELECTRICAL SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE:

The purpose of this program is to provide participants with a basic understanding of electrical safety within the workplace. Learners can leave this course with the skills to help identify and report electrical hazards that might be encountered during day-to-day duties.

 

ASBESTOS AWARENESS:

The program will help learners to understand the health risks, legislation, identification, maintenance, emergency procedures and asbestos removal requirements.

 

 

ALCOHOL AND DRUG AWARENESS:

Our Alcohol and Drugs Awareness program has been designed to provide you with general information that is generic to all worksites. It is important that we all take responsibility to ensuring an alcohol and drug free workplace.

 

PARTICIPATE IN ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE WORK PRACTICES:

This course provides theory and self-knowledge to support learning and work based practices that supports the learners’ participation in environmentally sustainable work practices. Completion of this course will enable learners to identify current resource use, comply with environmental regulations and seek opportunities to improve resource efficiency.

 

 

ALL ABOUT COAL:

This course familiarises participants with the basics of the coal mining industry. All About Coal is a look into the world of coal and how it is explored and mined. This program will introduce the learner to this abundant resource and explore its inception, its uses today through to its possible uses tomorrow.

SAFE USE OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS:

There are currently 39,000 industrial and around 5,500 agricultural and veterinary chemicals in use in Australia, many of which are considered hazardous according to the definitions in the Globally Harmonised System (GHS). It is therefore important that workers and any visitors to your site understand what chemicals are in use and how to work safely with and around them.
